This is a process of inspecting and testing electrical installations to ensure the safety and compliance with regards to the current wiring and installation requirements. This process can some times require remedial works. If the remedial works are deemed to be minor then these can be performed on the same day, this allows us to keep disruption and additional costs to a minimum.
In the UK, it is a legal requirement for electrical installations in all types of premises to be inspected and tested at appropriate intervals to check they are in a safe and satisfactory condition. This requirement is outlined in the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and failure to comply with these regulations can result in fines or prosecution.
